On October 24, 2024, the technical exchange meeting hosted by VBIO under the theme of “New Power in Insemination, Co‑create Innovative Breeding” was successfully held at Biyao Jinlu Grand Hotel in Chengdu.

This seminar gathered around 90 participants, including industry expert Professor Zhang Shouquan from South China Agricultural University, core distributors, partners and breeding practitioners from across the country. The conference consisted of three major sessions. First, Dr. Hou Yongmin, Founder & Chairman of VBIO, Professor Zhang Shouquan from South China Agricultural University, Xie Xiantai, Technical Director of VBIO, and Xu Guanghui, General Marketing Director of VBIO, delivered keynote speeches respectively. This was followed by the grand launch ceremony for the new product V-contrestrus® (Altrenogest Oral Solution). Finally, an awards ceremony was held to honor outstanding distributors.

Dr. Hou Yongmin illustrated VBIO’s highlights and differentiated product strengths. Drawing on years‑long accumulation and continuous innovation of its human‑pharmaceutical R&D team in reproductive protein hormones, the company has built a globally leading core technology platform for highly‑glycosylated proteins. Its pioneering product V‑OneMate® features prominent differentiation advantages: estrus detection‑free and one‑time insemination for improved prolificacy. It addresses key reproductive pain points and substantially boosts farming profitability, which has been verified and recognized by multiple Top30 breeding groups.
VBIO will keep innovating and upgrading its technologies and products. By combining differentiated premium products with professional services, the brand will pursue further upgrading. VBIO aims to achieve complementary strengths, win‑win cooperation and shared prosperity together with all partners.

Professor Zhang Shouquan analyzed various existing breeding models. He pointed out that batch production is not only a path toward industrialized pig farming, but also an effective measure for large‑scale farms to block disease transmission, especially PRRS control. Batch production serves as the “golden key” to tackle current challenges in swine production.
Regarding unstable reproductive performance of fixed‑time insemination under batch production, Professor Zhang proposed three critical procedures and two key hormones for performance improvement: Three procedures: promoting follicle development and estrus, inducing synchronized ovulation, performing one‑ or two‑time fixed‑time insemination; Two hormones: PMSG — for follicle development and estrus induction; hCG — for triggering synchronized ovulation.
He affirmed and recommended V‑OneMate®, Weisheng’s combined protocol of high‑quality PMSG and hCG.

Sow reproductive efficiency lies at the heart of overall farm productivity. Based on current sow reproductive status, Xie Xiantai presented field application cases and outcomes of V‑OneMate®. He first analyzed prevailing industry bottlenecks of conventional breeding programs: low estrus rate and breeding conception rate, high costs from repeated insemination and heavy labor workload.
To solve these problems, he emphasized that estrus cycle management holds the key to elevating sow reproductive efficiency. With V‑OneMate®, sows achieve more synchronous follicle development and concentrated ovulation, enabling standardized and streamlined insemination workflows without estrus detection to realize one‑time insemination for higher prolificacy. Validated by numerous group‑owned and large‑scale farms, when applied to gilts and multiparous sows, V‑OneMate® significantly raises breeding conception rate, cuts labor intensity, reduces semen consumption by over 50 % and shortens non‑productive days by more than 3 days. It delivers favorable input‑output ratio and remarkable cost reduction & profit improvement.

Following the technical exchange, the Marketing Department organized an in‑depth market service seminar for national distributors. Xu Guanghui conducted data‑driven analysis on the current livestock and hormone industries. From a marketing perspective, he outlined overall plans and implementation roadmaps for VBIO's future marketing initiatives, expecting consensus, mutual trust, rapport and win‑win results in future partnerships.
